LG Introduces Rechargeable Masks with Fans and Sensors; Is this Covid-19 effective?

If the spread of coronavirus does not subside, it may be a mask that many people want to use.  There is a saying that need is the mother of invention - LG has now introduced a mask that makes it synonymous.  The company has now introduced an air purifier that also works as a mask.  The mask, called PuriCare Wearable. Air Purifier, starts working when a person wears it on their face.  It is an air purifier that can be worn on the face.  It is clear that it was built with ideas from their existing air purifiers.

The mask also uses high-efficiency particulate absorbing (high-efficiency particulate arresting and high-efficiency particulate arrestance) or hepa filters, which are included in LG's home air purifiers.  There are two such types of masks,  they can be replaced when their capacity decreases.  Along with these, the mask also has battery-powered fans.  The company claims that these will make it easier for the user to breathe.  LG is ready to try a solution to the problem of complaints that many masks are interfering with breathing.  For this, sensors are also fitted inside the mask.  The sensors in the mask have the ability to detect whether the user is breathing or inhaling.  The company says they work accordingly and make breathing easier.

In addition to ensuring that the user receives clean, filtered air, LG's patented breathing sensors detect the user's breathing and adjust the fans.  The fans have three speeds.  LG explains that it is common for the mask wearer to increase the speed of the fan while breathing and slow down when exhaling.  This happens automatically.  The company claims that this process ensures that breathing is smooth.

The LG Purecare will stick to the wearer's face.  The company claims that this will help to minimize the ingress of air into and out of the nose and chin.  LG claims that it is designed to be worn continuously for hours.

Another feature of the mask is its UV-LED lights.  The company also claims that it kills problem germs.  LG ThinQ is Mask's friendly app.  The Think app warns the user that the filter used in the mask needs to be replaced when its capacity decreases.  This app is available on iOS and Android.  LG claims that not only the filters but every part of the mask can be replaced.  They can also be recycled.

The PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier is powered by an 820 mAh battery.  The company claims that it will operate in low-power mode for up to eight hours.  However, in high-power mode, the mask may need to be recharged after about two hours.  Information about this mask was first released by LG in July.  The company said about 2,000 will be donated to doctors in Korea.  Prolonged use of masks can cause problems for doctors and health workers.  The company says such people should use a purecare wearable air purifier.  The company says it can be used instead of all kinds of masks, which can not guarantee that the performance will always be satisfactory.  Information about pricing and availability has not yet been released.
